Rocco and I
Hi I’m Leby. I started Rocco’s Pack Pet Services in January of 2011 and since then I’ve been providing dog owners and their pets with premier pet care and humane dog training services. I’m a native of Miami and have only left briefly to study psychology at the University of Florida and then for graduate school at Louisiana Tech University, where I obtained a Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
In a former life I spent my Monday through Friday developing, administering and evaluating selection and personnel assessment tools. Now I spend my days using hand signals and non-verbal cues to communicate with and train dogs. I spend a lot of time watching, catching and reinforcing canine and human behavior. Yes, that’s right, human behavior. Believe it or not, a big part of dog training is people training. Whew! It’s a good thing I have people skills too.
I also believe that a properly exercised dog is a better companion and often times daily walks, runs, swims and socialization outings are the medicine for a destructive and bored dog.
Probably, the most rewarding part of my job is rooted in my sense of social responsibility and my compassion and love for animals. I’m an educator at heart and my philanthropic spirit keeps me an active volunteer working with students, homeless dogs and local animal welfare organizations to bring awareness on important animal welfare initiatives.

Our philosophy in dog training and pet sitting is based on the overall well being of your pet. When pet sitting, we take every precaution to ensure that your pet has everything he would if you were there. This does not only include food and water, but also other things like adequate exercise, socialization, stimulation and lots of love.
When training, our goal is to help you develop a loving relationship with your dog by giving you the tools and skills you need to be able to handle even the most challenging situations. We use positive reinforcement techniques and incorporate the use of our bodies as communication devices to bridge the gap between what we are saying and what our dogs are understanding.
We are advocates of responsible dog ownership and strongly believe that trained, well-behaved dogs are happier and healthier life companions.
